The Candeo story:

How do you pronounce our new name?
Candeo is pronounced (can DAY oh).

What does it mean?
It is a Latin word meaning “to grow, to shine, to grow brilliant”.

Why did we change our name?
We were chosen out of over 50 organizations to utilize the services of McLellan Marketing Group (MMG) in Des Moines to receive a marketing make over. One of the first things they asked was “Have you ever thought about changing your name?”…and the answer was “Yes!”.

Why did we go from using “Colleage” to “Client” when speaking of the people we so respectfully serve?
Colleague can be very confusing when talking to people in the public about what we do and who we serve. People usually think of a colleague as someone you work with. The Oxford Dictionary of Current English defines client as: a person using the services of a professional person or organization. Client also means to build a relationship. In addition, “client” has become an industry standard when speaking of the people we serve. This will bring us in-line with the rest of the human service industry and more clearly define to whom we provide our services.

What is the advantage of our new name?
It is the story that we can tell. Our organization is based on providing the very best of services to our clients. Candeo means “to grow” and that is what we do when providing services to our clients, we help them grow and attain their goals. It means “to shine, to grow brilliant”. The services that we provide to our clients allow them to shine with brilliance in their everyday lives.

Candeo’s Mission: To inspire our clients to achieve their personal goals.

Candeo’s Vision: To be the most trusted provider of client services.

Thank you for embracing our new name and telling our story. Most of all thank you for being a huge part of the Candeo family.
